Juggling Priorities – Which “Balls” Really Matter?

Some weeks are about speed. Others are about stillness.

This one’s been the latter – but not by design.

Slower pace. Fewer meetings. Less urgency, and more reflection.

Which is great – except I was super sick.

And with that came a useful reminder: sometimes, the work we don’t do is just as important as what we do. Knowing when to ease back, say no, and stop doing the things that aren’t mission-critical.

That, my friend, is called clarity.

This week’s posts dig into that:

  • A short story (one of my favourites!) about how Buddha handled confrontation – and what it teaches us about reactivity vs. intention.
  • A video discussing a practical tool I use in my coaching sessions called The Time Target – to help business owners refocus on the work that really moves the needle.
  • And a short post on the power of clarity – because when everything feels urgent, it’s the clear-headed that win.

If you’re feeling scattered or heavy right now, maybe you don’t need to do more. Maybe you just need a clearer lens.

And if you’re not sure where to begin, ask. If there’s one thing I can help with, it’s bringing clarity.

Take care. Be kind to yourself – and eat garlic like it’s going out of fashion….

And, of course, let me know what lands.

Cheers,

Jon

Most business owners don’t realise they’ve become the bottleneck… until they’re overwhelmed, disconnected from their team, and quietly resenting the business they built.

The Time Target

In business and life, it’s easy to get caught up juggling urgent tasks, distractions, and endless demands. But here’s the truth: we can’t manage time, but we can manage ourselves.

This engaging session breaks down the Time Target framework — helping you identify what truly matters, where your focus should be, and how to spend more time in the zone that drives real results.

Clarity That Drives Results

This was my 60-second pitch at my networking group BNiBrilliance this evening. The theme was: “What do you want people to remember about what you do?” Here’s what I landed on: Among other things, I help business owners with their marketing. One client grew his A-grade leads by 56%. Transformed his business. I help with sales. Another client went from a 24% conversion rate to 47% – and now he’s closing over 80% after a small tweak in delivery… Read More

When Silence Speaks Louder

The Buddha and the Angry Man – a parable. (This story has stuck with me for years and years – maybe it’ll stick with you too.) The Buddha had travelled for days to give a talk. Not long into his speech, a man from the crowd started shouting insults trying to provoke him. But the Buddha didn’t react. He stayed calm, and kept speaking. So the man got louder. More aggressive. Still, the Buddha carried on. Unmoved… Read More
