How me losing 8.5kg will help your business

Back in January, I made a joke that I was shaped like a Toblerone.

It was funny because it was true.

I was exercising more. Watching what I ate. Making what I thought were better choices. But when I stepped on the scales… nothing had changed.

That’s when I realised I was focused on the wrong thing.

I was staring at the outcome instead of the actions that create the outcome.

So I did what I encourage my clients to do. I created a simple 90-day plan, picked a handful of numbers I could control, and followed the process.

Twelve weeks later I was 8.5kg lighter and 8cm smaller around the waist.

I also doubled my income by applying the same lessons to my business.

The posts below all touch on it from different angles.

  • Building a business that supports the life you want.
  • Understanding the difference between being good at your job and building a business.
  • And focusing on the activities that turn interest into opportunities.

Different topics. Same lesson.

The goal matters.

But it’s the controllable actions, repeated over time, that change everything.

Cheers,

Jon

But like a lot of operators, the business side wasn’t serving him.

Pricing was a guessing game.
He was winning jobs, but leaving margin on the table.
Time was getting chewed up by reactive work.

Keep the Good Leads Warm

Just came out of a client session and we’ve been focusing on marketing.

He’s been getting more leads from Instagram. Great.

But here’s where he has to turn his focus to, and the bit most business owners miss:

A lead isn’t always a buyer.
