The Smarter Way To Handle Objections.

A bit of a theme came through for me this week.

Most business owners don’t need more information. We need better conversations, better rooms, and better beliefs.

Better conversations help us sell without feeling pushy. Better rooms stretch our thinking and stop us becoming the ceiling of our own growth. And better beliefs matter because, annoying as it is, our business usually won’t grow past the level we genuinely believe is possible.

That’s the thread running through this week’s pieces.

  • How to handle objections in a way that actually helps people.
  • Why being in the right room matters.
  • And why the thing holding you back might not be a skill gap — it might be a belief gap.

Worth a read if you’re trying to grow without just adding more noise to the pile.

Cheers,

Jon

P.S. On 1 July I’m running another 90-Day Planning Workshop. If you’ve got a goal for your business (or yourself), we’ll help you identify the lead metrics that actually get you there. Less wishful thinking. More clarity. More momentum.

Choose the Right Room

If you’re the smartest or most successful person in the room, you’re in the wrong room.

I just got back from the Gold Coast after another incredible conference with the Trusted Advisor Network – and I’m probably the dumbest one in the photo so it’s a good room😅

Twice a year – once on the Gold Coast, once in Queenstown – I make the non-negotiable investment of time and money to be there.

I wouldn’t miss them for the world… Read More

Skill Gap or Belief Gap?

Your business won’t grow to the level of your potential.

It will grow to the level of your beliefs.

That was one of the big ideas Jeff Cruickshank just unpacked at conference, and for a lot of us it really landed.

Most business owners try to fix the thing they can see.

The numbers.
The leads.
The team behaviour.
The inconsistent activity… Read More
